TOTAL DEFENCE 2011

"Home – Keeping It Together" is the theme for Total Defence 2011. The campaign seeks to remind Singaporeans that Singapore is worth defending on all fronts, simply because it’s home.

The Community Chest has joined hands with the "Home" campaign to raise funds that will benefit two of its programmes – "Dignifying the Lives of the Elderly" and "Keeping Families Together".  This is driven by the desire to help those who have played a part in building our country but may not be doing well now, as well as families who may have challenges making ends meet.

To help raise $200,000 for the Community Chest, the public will be encouraged to download a 6-minute extended version of the "Home" music video that includes outtakes and additional footage between 15 February and 31 March 2011. Every download will be matched by a $1 donation to the Community Chest jointly contributed by various organisations.

As part of National Education (NE) and Community Involvement Programme (CIP), SJI Junior would like to encourage all pupils to do their part by logging on to the “Home” Campaign official website to learn more about this year’s Total Defence 2011 and download the “Home” music video to help raise fund for the Community Chest!
